Brazilian planemaker Embraer up after 33% rise in Q3 deliveries
** Planemaker Embraer EMBR3.SA leads gains on Brazil's benchmark stock index after publishing its delivery and backlog report for the third quarter
** Sao Paulo-traded shares of the company are up more than 3.5%, making it the top gainer on the Bovespa index .BVSP, which slips 0.2%
** The world's third-largest planemaker after Airbus AIR.PA and Boeing BA.N delivered 57 non-defense aircraft in the July-September period, up 33% from a year earlier
** Commercial aircraft deliveries rose 7% to 16, while executive jets deliveries were up 46% to 41 airplanes
** Embraer's firm order backlog hit a nine-year high of $22.7 billion at the end of the quarter, up 7% on a sequential basis
** JPMorgan analysts note that total deliveries of 59 aircraft (including two C-390 military planes) came in slightly above their expectations of 56
** "We expect a positive reaction as deliveries bring upside to consensus and JPMorgan estimates for the third quarter and reaffirmed the positive trend on backlog," they add
** Year-to-date, Embraer's shares surge more than 120% as the firm enjoys good demand for its aircraft amid constraints to 'big' narrowbody deliveries in the industry
