Foreign banks net sellers of Indian bonds for fourth straight week
Foreign banks continue to sell Indian government bonds for fourth consecutive week
These lenders net sold bonds worth 64.1 billion rupees ($762.7 million) last week, CCIL data shows
This comes after aggregate net sale of 117.5 billion rupees in three weeks until Oct. 11
"Foreign banks have turned cautious and have been on the sell side as benchmark bond yield is unable to break to a further low," trader with a foreign bank says
Traders say rising U.S. yields continue to be biggest deterrent in terms of adding more Indian bonds in portfolio
10-year U.S. yield at 4.09%, while Indian benchmark 10-year bond yield at 6.84%; spread at 275 basis points
