** Dutch coffee company JDE Peet's JDEP.AS shares are up 13.29%, after JAB announced it would acquire Mondelez's MDLZ.O 86 million shares in the company for EUR 25.10 per share

** JDE Peets has also announced the appointment of Rafael Oliveira as the new Chief Executive Officer and reiterated its 2024 outlook

** "The visibility on the new CEO and buy out of the Mondelez stake eliminates an overhang on the stock", J.P. Morgan said in a note, adding they remain wary of 2025's output and earnings as coffee prices rise

** Today's stock rise is on track to mark the company's best performance since February 2022, when it closed 14.3% higher
